FDA-certified OTC hearing aids in wireless earbud form featuring Bluetooth streaming, self-fitting via iOS app, and amplification for mild to moderate hearing loss.

Description

The Jabra Enhance Plus is an FDA-certified over-the-counter hearing aid designed as discreet wireless earbuds for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. Launched in February 2022, it features Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity for iOS devices (iPhone 11 or newer), enabling audio streaming and hands-free calling.

The self-fitting process uses an iOS app with a hearing test that applies the NAL-NL2 prescription formula. Key specifications include directional microphones, noise reduction, feedback suppression, and an IP52 water resistance rating.

With rechargeable lithium-ion batteries offering 10 hours of use (extendable to 30 hours via the portable charging case), these lightweight earbuds (33.7g) include three Ear Gel tip sizes. Though discontinued as of October 2024, Jabra continues to honor its 1-year warranty and provide support.

Reviews

I've been using these earbuds at home for watching TV on my iPad. I was using a pair of headphones before, but my wife got tired of me not being able to hear her. The streaming audio quality is OK, and now I can hear my wife when she needs me. Very comfortable and small, but I don't know how I feel about wearing them in public yet.

They are best for part-time use in specific situations like meetings'Choose this if you want to self-fit but don't want to feel alone in the process. The Lexie Expert support team — available by video, phone, or chat — is genuinely unusual in the OTC space. You're not buying a gadget, you're getting guided support. Run the in-app hearing test in a quiet room, not in the kitchen. Background noise during setup skews your hearing profile. Give it 10 minutes of complete quiet to get a calibration that actually reflects your ears. Use the Front microphone mode in restaurants. Switching from Everywhere to Front mode focuses the hearing aid on whoever is sitting across from you. This single setting change can make noisy meals feel manageable again. Buy from Walgreens if you want a no-pressure return option. In-store purchase gives you the ability to return it locally if the fit isn't right, without shipping logistics.Co-developed with WS Audiology, the CRE-C10 brings prescription-grade sound to an invisible, self-fitting CIC device. It uses disposable batteries to achieve a 70-hour runtime, the longest in its class,' ensuring reliability for multi-day trips. It is clinically appropriate for those with mild-to-moderate sensorineural loss seeking a highly discreet and easy-to-manage device.Ideal for users wanting ''invisible'' hearing support with the reliability of a long-lasting disposable battery. Standout feature is the prescription-grade sound quality in an ultra-discreet CIC design. A top choice for those who want a simple', high-performance solution from a trusted global brand.
