“At age 47, I discovered I had mild to moderate hearing loss and got my first pair of Phonak Marvel hearing aids 3 years ago. While they were great initially, I struggled to hear in noisy environments as things returned to normal post-COVID.Excited by the features of the EP20 hearing aids, I got fitted for them at Costco. The real ear measures ensured a smooth fitting process. The sound was more natural and blended well with unamplified sound. Battery life was impressive, lasting almost a full day with 70% remaining after the first day.
The EP20s performed significantly better in noisy environments compared to my Phonaks. Directionality and localizing sounds also improved with the M\&RIE receivers. The seamless MFI integration with my iPhone and Apple Watch was a major plus.
The only downside was poor call quality for the person on the other end when using Bluetooth. However, this wasn’t a deal-breaker as I could still hear clearly by holding the phone to my ear.
In conclusion, I’m very satisfied with the EP20 hearing aids. The exceptional battery life, Costco’s great service, and the reasonable price make them a solid choice. Unless a new model emerges with significantly better call quality, I plan to stick with the EP20s and have the batteries replaced near the end of the warranty period.”
